As the Wii gets increasingly popular, and demand for it goes up, an inevitable question starts to surface – To Burn Wii games or not to?

Wii games are expensive, so can you imagine the pain if you accidentally scratch your latest Wii game disc, and you have only played it for a few times? Continue reading to discover how to create backups by burning Wii Games.

But before you get yourself involved, it is important that you know the copyright laws in your area. Make sure that it is perfectly legal for you to burn Wii games, as long as you own the original, and that you will only be using the copies for personal reasons.

First, you will need to use the your computer and a special kind of DVD drive in order to get it to work. Some examples include the LG-816 series, namely 8161b, 8162b, or 8163b. If you are unsure, you can always search for these DVD drives on Google. You will be able to get tons of information there. And when you have located the disc drives and are wondering where to get them, you could check out your nearby computer store or buy it online via eBay or any electronics site.

Next, you have to make an image of your game disc, before you can starting burning the games. Besides the DVD drive, you’ll need to set up some software called .net Framework 2.0, and Raw Dump 2.0.

Then, the next thing to do is to put your game your LG DVD Drive. When it’s in, open the Raw Dump file (should have been created after installation) and double click on the rawdump.exe file to start the rawdump program.

Once rawdump is open, there will be a dialog box that appears. Click on the button that says Start Dump, and you’ll before long be ready to burn Wii games. The time taken to burn the games varies and is largely dependent on the size of the files on the DVD, and the speed of your computer. Waiting time can range from anything between 1 hour to up to 5 hours, if your computer is slow.

Once that is done, you should see a fresh ISO file in the rawdump folder, having the same name as the game that you have copied. To explain in non-jargon, an ISo file is basically a identical image of what had been on the disc previously.

The last 2 parts of the procedure are likely the simplest things you are required to do when you burn Wii games. First, once the dump is done, right click on the fresh file and click “Properties”. Look out for the size of the file. All Wii Games ISOs are 4.7 Gb in size, which is the size on a blank DVD, which means that the image dump has copied everything from the disc. If the size is different from this, you would need to begin the process again, as it is simply not possible to burn Wii games if the ISO file sizes are wrong.

Once the size of the file is right, what you are required to complete the burning of the Wii games is to get a preferable burning software, start up a new project, and get it to burn the ISO image file onto a new blank DVD. I recommend using better qulity discs here, as low quality discs could compromise on the games and sometimes the games could end up being unreadable.

Now that you have burned your Wii games, how do you play them? There are two ways here – Either get your Wii fitted with a modchip, or you could choose to modify your SD card. Both methods are discussed on many sites on the net, so you can do a search for those tutorials. As you have just read, it is definitely possible to burn Wii games, but do be sure to check out your local laws and regulations.

If that is too much work for you, there are Wii Download Sites that allow you unlimited games downloads for a one time membership free. Those sites are becoming very popular because of the unlimited access and the variety of games and media available. Check out this review to find the site that offers the best Wii Downloads offer!

question to man united fans – could you imagine life without rooney ?
i could easily see SAF maintaining a squad capable of mounting a serious title challenge with or without rooney, but of course any team that loses a player of rooneys calibre will feel some spark missing inthe team.

i reckon for 85 million he could further strengthen your clubs financial future and allow some youth to develop experience over a season or two and ultiamtely end up producing another world class player who then, ends up being sold for god knows how much – 100 mill ? 120 mill ?

this is what the game is all about now – you have to be a good businessman as a manager and have good advisors around you in order to prolong success at your club. Clearly this has been the case at United for the last 2 decades it appears.

maybe i play championship manager too much, and do this kind of thing a lot (sell my stars after a few years and then use my upcoming startlets mroe regularly in the starting xi) but this method holds true as ive pointed out with SAF, hes been doing it for years.

Makes me think what we’re hanging on to Torres for , if we’re never gonna win the league. Yes hes world class and all of that, but maybe we should sell him for a stupendous amount of money – preferably to a spanish, german or italian giant club and then see what Rafa can do with that money – a clean slate ?

im fed up of realising the fact that , of the ‘big four’ we are by far the most ‘one dimensional’ side in the prem.

only cos of torres and gerrard being available for over 3/4 of the season, coupled with a good start leading up to january were we able to mount some sort of serious title challenge right to the end , something of a rarity in the past.

so when your stars have their ‘off days’ and then days when they’re not near enough fit or simply when theyre injured and outof the team, what then ?

it appears to me that we don’t have the right players as backup to gerrard or torres, losign Xabi (another world class player) was a big blow for us – if this scenario happened at United, SAF would have probably found a worthy replacement immediately or used an upcoming promosing youngster in that position.

The more I watch spearing the more im getting impressed, but hes got a long way to go before he can cement a place in the starting xi.

maybe we ought to sell Torres for a record breaking transfer fee – smashing C.Ronaldos or matching it therebouts ?

its not like there aren’t enough decent strikers in the prem who can’t put the ball in the back of the net week in week out right ?

if i believe united can survive without rooney, maybe we ought to sell our star striker and pave the way for a new youngster or some veteran to aprtner Babel and/or Ngog allowing those two get regular games ?
" Blah Blah blah, I have no time to read all you wrote…"

then why did you bother answering this ? some people honestly…

Personally,he is my favorite Man U player apart from Giggsy and Cantona. Im not sure if the team could get over letting him go. He is a foundation of moral support on the pitch,he raises the bar,he is one of the best players to grace OT. I dont think me as a fan could bare the thought of it. Anyway,he wont go,he wants to remain at OT and become a legend,he said so himself. I was glad when Ronaldo went. Yes he is a fantastic player, but it was like we were a one man team, his attitude towards the end of being a Man U player was unprofessional and he annoyed me.

I love Wayne Rooney!I hope he never goes.
    Peace x

bu I could survive without Rooney, and I can imagine life without Rooney.

-Okay, now I have time for it.

I must say I’m impressed Rooney has done well with taking over Ronaldo’s place by having an eye for the goal. Players like Torres and Rooney are great to have in the team, but the players must learn how to cope without them sometimes. Rooney has improved, matured and his mentality is improving. All these rumours about Rooney moving to Barcelona is utter garbage and I’m not going to believe it until I see it. They’re rumours after all and I think players shouldn’t be sold for extreme amounts of money nor should they be bought for extreme amounts of money.

some strikers in the world cannot be replaced – Torres and Rooney (also Eto and Ibra who replaced each other) but when it comes down to the debt of the big clubs what choice might u have. All that gossip in the newspapers is all rubbish. Liverpool cant survive on N’Gog – trust me, u need Torres as much as u lot need Gerrard, and if i were liverpool manager and was forced to sell Torres, as long as i could interest other big clubs, i would leave, u cant build a team just to sell it, especially selling two of the biggest strikers in the world, if SAF sold Rooney i would have faith in our manager, but then u need a tales-man to replace them – something neither Berba or Owen or Welbeck or Macheda are – They are clinical players and Welbeck the Dribbler but there aren’t many players who can score from almost anywhere and support and have the stamina like Rooney – i’m looking at Tevez but he’s gone but you can always play target man with Cole – if we could buy him. What i’m saying is selling your best players is taking you one way – Down,

The gossip about Barca is fake, coz if Rooney moved there he would be playing on the flank, where Rooney is almost useless, he has no tricks to penetrate the line and that’s why he is a goal scorer and not a David Silva type of player or Ronaldo. U cant lose once in a lifetime players coz there are not many of them arounf.

first off stoke city is the future u mustin waste your time with these ‘big’ clubs…..

rooney will never leave man u as others have said he will stay and become a club hero and be remembered by all the fans, but on the other hand i could see man u selling him…..they seem to have gotten into the habbit of selling players and under performing…..nobody can say united are the top team anymore as united are lost without good ole ron…..

torres will be gone within a year write it down……

best of luck to you all i truely hope your teams give stoke city a good ole fight cuz we need to get ready for the champions leagfue next season…yupp write it down stoke city in the champs league…..hell we will win it all…..
