What you’re going to see is a blend of footages of all the racing games that I used to play when I was a little child in the arcade in my town.
Forget about the intoxicating realism of Forza and Gran Turismo stuff then, and take a dive into the good past memories =)
Not perfect runs by the way: I was using the keyboard and by the way, gaming is also made of mistakes, right?

This video shows how to use iLink Arcade’s Racing Game interface. The iPhone app communicates with a desktop PC running Windows via a WiFi connection to not only navigate through the games menu and control the car but also receive map selection, car location and crash events. As the car traversed the track in the game the annotated location on the iPhone displayed map is updated. Moreover, when the car hits a guard-rail, the device will vibrate (vibrate will not work with an iPod).

Classic Game Room HD reviews GRAVE BREAKER for Xbox 360, a download game from the Xbox 360 Indie games section of Xbox Live. This is a side scrolling survival style game where one or two players shoots endless waves of monsters and zombies. Use miniguns, pistols, shotguns and sniper rifles to waste enemies and score points based on what weapon you use. Available for less than the price of a cup of coffee, Grave Breaker is the sequel to Veks and Silence, also on Xbox Live in the Indie section. It feels like an add-on to Veks and Silence but it is a stand alone game and worth a buck if you enjoy 2 player survival gaming with a friend. This CGR review of Grave Breaker has gameplay from Grave Breaker on Xbox Live and shows Grave Breaker game play in HD. Horror survival fans may want to give this one spin!

Classic Game Room HD reviews STAR DEFENDER 4 published by Alawar Games, available as a reasonably priced download for PC. This Galaxian-meets-SHMUP space shooter should appeal to fans of 1980’s arcade games like Galaga and Space Invaders as well as the modern crop of bullet style Japanese space ship shooters. Blast waves of aliens into bits with a variety of weapons and power ups while dodging asteroids and gunfire. This CGR review of Star Defender 4 has gameplay from the PC version of Star Defender 4 showing arcade style game play in HD action. Get some alien wrecking power as you level up your primary weapon and fire away with the left mouse button, catch falling power ups like guided missiles, lasers and flame throwers. Oh yeah, Star Defender 4 real baby!

Classic Game Room HD reviews HANG ON for the Sega Master System! From Yu Suzuki, creator of Out Run and Shenmue (and many other excellent Sega arcade games) comes this amazing motorcycle racing game where you drive through numerous environments against other bikers in a race to the finish! This arcade racer makes a fantastic appearance on one of the early pack-in games for the Sega Master System. I have 2 versions of Hang On, one with Safari Hunt and one with Astro Warrior! Hang on is brought over the master system with clear, smooth and excellent gameplay and visuals. If you like auto racing games like OutRun, Forza and Gran Turismo 5 then you should give Hang On a spin. It is dirt cheap today and tons of fun, you race to checkpoints and earn points just like the old school games at the arcades. CGRHD brings you Hang On gameplay and footage in this Sega review of their awesome and popular motorcycle race game. Classic Game Room season 1. November, 1999. HYDRO THUNDER!!!! Yell it loud, this is a racing game for those of you who like fast paced, fun, intense and out of control racing games. Hydro Thunder is late 90’s arcade gaming at it’s best. Hyrdo Thunder was first released for the home in the form of a Sega Dreamcast game in 1999. It was later made for the N64 and Playstation video game consoles. The game is part of the series of games called the “Thunder” series by Midway, like Arctic Thunder and Offroad Thunder. This game is a lot like Star Wars Episode 1 Racer and Fatal Inertia on the Xbox 360. Your speedboat drive through a variety of futuristic and wild environments like the Escape from New York landscape and a bunch of tundra and tropical regions. You can hit boosting icons and boost your boats through the air off ramps and into tour boats, animals or the enemy. It’s a fun game and a great addition to the Sega Dreamcast lineup. This is the third Classic Game Room episode.
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Classic Game Room HD marked the return of the series in 2008. The original Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii.
